Hello, my name is David L. Prowse. I am an author, a computer network specialist, and a technical trainer. I specialize in writing books about vendor-neutral certifications (such as CompTIA A+), but am no stranger to Microsoft, Cisco, and other technology vendors.

Over the past several years, I've authored over a dozen titles for Pearson Education, including the well-received CompTIA A+ Exam Cram and Security+ Cert Guide. I've also developed curriculums and books for technical colleges, both large and small.

As of 2012, I have 17 years of information technology experience which span the roles of PC Technician, PC Repair Bench Manager, Database Administrator, LAN Administrator, Network Engineer, Network Security Analyst, and (currently) Technology Security Consultant. Currently, as a consultant, I only work with one client at a time, and will usually help them to secure just about everything, from buildings, to computers and networks, to people... and beyond. I try to incorporate as much hands-on information that I can from my clients into my books.

I've also taught many IT courses to over 2000 students over the past 13 years including: CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, both in the classroom and via the Internet. I love to teach and it's all those years of teaching experience that really make my books what they are.
